How often do you stop as you read and let the Word penetrate your heart? I know for me, I often find myself rushing through reading because I have so many other things I need to do that I can not just read and sit. I find that I need to give myself more time, to read and to pray after I read so that I can give time for the Holy Spirit to speak to me and transform my heart. I have over time learned that I did not give myself enough time, so I began to wake up 30 minutes earlier, and now I wonder if I need to wake up ever earlier to give myself the time to allow margin in my day to listen to what God has to say to me.
I wonder what are we doing to allow God to speak to us? Are we being intentional and utilizing resources to guide us in the process? Are we involved in community that is going to challenge us to grow and move and become more than we are? Are we desiring to be transformed or are we afraid of what God might do in us? Just a few thoughts, lets chat!
